Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS Are Launching a Tabi Sneaker
Inspired by an archival ASICS silhouette.
Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS are filling a split-toe gap in your closet. Launching their new tabi running shoe collaboration, this duo is mixing fashion with performance perfectly. The Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS ILARGI FF sneaker is ready to take the fashion industry and your local run clubs by storm this year. Made for the most stylish sprinters and boundary-pushers, keep this collab on your radar.
Arriving in two colorways for its debut, the ILARGI FF launches in all-black, as well as a slightly more sporty black and blue option. Using ASICS’ advanced technology to provide cushioned steps and increased comfort for long promenades and challenging runs, these tabis were made with your feet in mind. The split-toe design, inspired by ASICS’ Marathon runner silhouette from the 1950s, adds Kiko Kostadinov’s signature edge, marking nearly a decade of partnership between the two brands with a perfect balance.
The duo are going big this year, linking up with artist Ryan Trecartin for a three-part campaign to accompany the release. The first act was shot in Japan with a local cast of actors, with vibrant stills from the production framing the sneakers in technicolor and futuristic details. With two more parts set to launch in the future, each campaign will release with a new version of the ILARGI FF sneaker.
The sneakers will be available to purchase exclusively at the Kiko Kostadinov London flagship store starting February 19, with a global release available on the brand’s website from February 23.
In other news, ERL just launched a new “Bubblegum” Vamp sneaker.
