Pipenco FW26 Put Modern Dating on Full Display

Tracing the minefield of emotion, mess and digital interference.

Today’s dating landscape is a minefield of emotion, mess and digital interference. Pipenco put the fragmented experience of women navigating love on full display at its Fall/Winter 2026 runway show through the ancestral language of Romanian embroidery.

The brand presented its latest collection in New York, transforming emotions and connection into stitches. Inspired by the traditional Romanian blouse, where detailed motifs trace a woman’s passage through life, Pipenco reimagined these codes to reflect today’s fleeting rituals of intimacy. You can find the player, the love bomber, the ghosted and the free spirit all hand-stitched into synthetic shine.

Set at The Standard, the showcase took place within an installation, “Our Dirty Dishes,” by Romanian artist Ioana Aron, curated by Daniela Holban. The space reflected an intimate bedroom where everyday objects accumulate to mimic the emotional labor and cycles of intimacy. Scent was also used to create a sour yet soothing echo of love through notes of grapefruit and lavender.

Most of the collection was designed using reclaimed textiles, with over 70% constructed from donated fabrics, allowing memories of previous garments to add another layer to the story. The theme of love was clear throughout, with hints of lacy lingerie peeking through and the brand’s signature headwear appearing in heart-shaped forms. Here, heartbreak and rebirth were channeled through pieces that echoed the algorithmic romance.

Check out some of the looks above and head to the brand’s website for more.
