Olandria Carthen Is a Certified Perfume Girlie
The star linked up with Jo Malone.
Olandria Carthen considers herself a scent enthusiast. The Love Island USA runner-up was tapped by one of her favorite fragrance houses, Jo Malone, to highlight the new “Yuzu Zest” perfume. Inspired by the fizziness of the citrus fruit, the fresh and fruity scent is only the latest addition to Jo Malone’s beloved lineup.
As a big fan of the brand herself, Carthen says that the partnership was a no-brainer. “I’ve been obsessed with their fragrances for years, so I was already saying yes before I even heard the rest of it,” she tells Hypebae. In the case of “Yuzu Zest” specifically, the influencer says its complex scent profile only further solidified her love for the brand.

“Everyone knows I’m a little fragrance obsessed, and I’m especially obsessed with ‘Yuzu Zest’” she adds. “It’s bright and fizzy and incredibly fresh. The kind of scent that instantly makes you think of spring turning into summer.” While other fruity perfumes can quickly become overly sweet, Carthen finds that the perfume’s earthy cedarwood note seamlessly balances out the citrusy, tropical nature of yuzu.
