Rick Owens Injects Love and Light Into FW26
With striking hair and beauty looks developed in collaboration with Berlin-based artist, Figa Link.
Rick Owens presented his Fall/Winter 2026 collection in Paris this season, titled “Tower.” The collection aimed to act as “a prayer for love and hope, and strength and protection,” according to the brand’s collection notes, and honestly, we really did feel a sense of optimism by the end.
Though the signature Owens color palette rarely changes, this season featured a little extra light in the form of its hair and beauty looks. Developed in collaboration with Berlin-based digital artist, Bernando Martins, the FW26 looks favored bright hits of pink, blue and green, offering a major contrast to the towering greys and blacks.

Similarly, the collection also featured larger-than-life furry coats, crafted from “cotton candy-colored long-hair goat hides,” which, according to the collection notes, were water-jet cut into netting. Taking inspiration from German-American actor and singer Marlene Dietrich, the oversized coats were an homage to the coat she wore during her final years in cabaret.
Speaking about Dietrich as his inspiration, Owens said: “I’ve often referred to my admiration for Marlene Dietrich and the dignified sequence of her life’s stages. She always struck me as having a very attractive mix of morality and artifice with a strong sense of responsibility and grit.”
Somewhat split into the three “stages” of her life, the collection began as a “steely glittering sexual provocateur,” followed by “an example of duty and service during wartime,” and finally, a “tightly-controlled cabaret act.”
