The Biggest Runway Trends from Fashion Week FW26
From hair as clothing to textured trousers, here’s what we’re seeing.
The Fall/Winter 2026 season of fashion month is in full swing, with Copenhagen Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, London and Milan already over, and Paris firmly underway.
In New York, we saw the evolution of fringing through hair as fashion, evidenced on the runway SHOWPONY and Charlie Le Mindu, further displayed in Paris by Hodakova. In London, textured leather trousers made a big comeback courtesy of Daniel Fletcher’s Mithridate, followed by GCDS in Milan and now, OFF-WHITE in Paris.
Elsewhere, our favorite female designers seem to be bringing laces back, but not as we know them. For FW26, there’s been an influx of lace-up footwear silhouettes and corset-inspired detailing, showcased at Marni, Prada and OFF-WHITE.
Ahead, we take a look at the biggest runway trends spotted this season so far, from textured trousers, hairy clothing and lace-up booties.

Ice Cool Blues
Last fall, we saw “a pop of red” hit the runways and our social feeds with fashion girls styling red socks, red sweaters and red scarves to add a hint of color. This season, it’s “a pop of icy blue.” This cool-toned turquoise is becoming a trend paired specifically with a slate grey that feels like a wintery dream, while simultaneously being something we can style with a nice tan through the summer months. Gabe Gordon sent two knitwear cardigans down the runway paired with grey skirts, while Sandy Liang featured an icy satin frilled dress on top of grey leggings. Elsewhere, Zankov saw a blue and gray striped shirt draped with velvet and a high-neck collar. The winter season is set to be cold in both temperature and color this year.
Stomping in Stilettos
Say goodbye to your kitten heels, because this season brought back the full-fledged stiletto. While your feet may be screaming, the 2010s revival was bound to eventually include the ankle-breaking silhouette; we can only hope that brands have now managed to find a way to design a more comfortable version. 7 For All Mankind saw platform stiletto pumps stomp down the runway paired with studded skinny jeans, while Gabe Gordon featured pointed-toe versions paired with socks. Elsewhere, Marc Jacobs took a more modest approach, styling the sky-high shoes with low-waisted midi skirts. The classic high heel is back and better than ever; it’s time to dust yours off.
High-Neck Drama
Funnel neck jackets have been taking over our feeds as of late, but this season, brands are taking it one step further. The necks are getting taller, crazier and appearing on everything from blouses to dresses. Bronx and Banco sent a selection of heavyweight jackets down the runway with extremely high necks, almost consuming the models’ faces. One highlight was a cropped leather fur-lined look that will definitely protect your cheeks against the wind. Collina Strada made collars inspired by the Elizabethan era with lace and ruffles rising up from dresses and shirts, reminiscent of eras long gone, while Altuzzara took the funnel coat and stacked it up extra high.
