Rio Uribe Is Back With RIO's Debut Campaign
Featuring an all-Latino cast.
Mexican-American designer Rio Uribe is back and better than ever. Marking a defining new chapter, the designer has officially unveiled the very first campaign for his namesake label, RIO, following its evolution from Gypsy Sport to the hottest brand on the block.
Lensed by photographer Harry Eelman and styled to perfection by César Alvarez, the stunning imagery serves up the perfect balance of rebellion and refined luxury. RIO has always been a worldwide beacon for independent youth culture, and this drop beautifully continues that legacy by challenging conventions around identity, individuality, and community.
Bold patterns and oversized silhouettes define the collection, arriving in shades of red, white, black and grey. Androgyny is at the heart of the drop, with every garment flowing seamlessly between the lines of gender for the perfect debut capsule.
Celebrating the rich cultures that have long inspired Uribe’s work, the campaign features a chic cast of Latino models from diverse backgrounds. It’s a powerful, authentic celebration of community that seamlessly blends gender-fluid design with a cool sportswear sensibility.
This eye-catching, gorgeous campaign is just the foundation for RIO’s expanding universe, as the brand builds major momentum toward its highly anticipated September runway show. Stay tuned, because RIO is already on our moodboards and wishlists this year.
