Lily Collins Gets Help From Bella Freud and Nicky Campbell in Zalando’s Latest Campaign
In a witty exploration of fashion, influence and listening to your inner voice.
If getting dressed has ever felt like a group chat with yourself, Zalando’s latest campaign might hit close to home. For Fall/Winter 2026, the fashion platform is turning the everyday “What do I wear?” dilemma into a glossy, high-fashion comedy, starring Lily Collins, Bella Freud and Nicky Campbell. Titled “Inner Voices,” the campaign imagines what might happen if the voices in your head had a little more personality.
Directed by two-time Grammy Award winner Melina Matsoukas, Zalando’s first long-form film follows Collins as she gets ready to leave the house, cycling through outfits while debating her choices. Her inner dialogue comes to life in the form of Freud and Campbell, with the former offering reassuring fashion wisdom and the latter delivering brutally honest, deadpan commentary.
While the campaign is, on the surface, about fashion indecision, its premise taps into something increasingly familiar: everyone has an opinion. Friends, parents, group chats, algorithms, there’s no shortage of voices telling us what to wear, how to look and who to be. But “Inner Voices” asks what happens when we tune all of that out and listen to ourselves instead.
We all know that getting dressed can be surprisingly personal. The outfit you almost wear, the one you change at the last minute, the trousers you keep coming back to, they’re all part of that constant negotiation between instinct and influence.
Collins, Freud and Campbell bring that internal debate to life with a fashion-forward cast. And if you’re wondering who would be living rent-free in your own head, Zalando has a question for you: who would you cast as your inner voice?
Maybe the answer sounds like your best friend. Maybe it’s your brutally honest inner critic. Or, ideally, maybe it’s just you.
