Coach officially announces it will debut its Pre-Fall 2019 collection in Shanghai. The show titled “Coach Lights Up Shanghai” will take place on Shanghai’s waterfront in celebration of the brand’s 15th anniversary in China.

Coach isn’t the only fashion house to alter global destinations for a runway presentation. Earlier this year, New York Fashion Week lost Alexander Wang‘s normal show slot.

The forthcoming Coach show will feature both womenswear and menswear. This will be the first time the Stuart Vevers-helmed brand will be debuting a dual gender show beyond New York City. The range will feature exclusive accessories, ready-to-wear and sneakers created by Vevers in collaboration with Chinese cultural icons. In an official press release, Coach notes that both Shanghai and New York City are the world’s most unique, vibrant cities pointing to their “bright lights, big city” attitude.

Coach CEO and president, Joshua Sculman shared his thoughts on the Shanghai Pre-Fall 2019 show below:

“We selected Shanghai as the venue for our first dual gender runway show outside of New York City in recognition of the important relationship with have with Chinese consumers. As we celebrate 15 years in the market, we look forward to building an even closer connection between Coach and our fans in China.”

Stay tuned here as more information emerges.
