Inspired by British heritage garments.
Having already seen a teaser earlier this year of the ongoing collaboration’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection, JW Anderson x Uniqlo have now officially unveiled the latest range’s full campaign. Taking inspiration from British heritage garments, the London-based designer has incorporated into the pieces a sense of thoughtfulness. Striking a perfect balance between materials and functionality, the latest program is as much a reflection of his aesthetic as it is with Uniqlo’s hallmark commitment to Japanese design. Highlights in the collection include cut-and-sew long skirts, asymmetrical tees, blouses with frilled collars, and button-up dresses.
Set against the backdrop of Brighton Pier in England, the campaign’s nautical backdrop underscores the subtle nautical themes in the pieces, such as striped patterns and of course, JW Anderson’s unmistakable anchor logo. Along with the apparel, a roster of bags, accessories and bucket hats are also included in the launch.
The JW Anderson x Uniqlo Spring/Summer 2018 collection will launch online on April 19, followed by a release in-store on April 20. The pieces will retail between $3.90 to $59.90 USD. You can view the full campaign in the gallery above, as well as the full selection of women’s pieces.
