JW Anderson's Third Converse Collaboration Has Been Unveiled

“New_Classics.”

Following two successful collaborative collections with Converse – the “Glitter_Gutter” and “Simply_Complex,” British designer JW Anderson is back for a third installment.

This time, the three-piece collection focuses on the Chuck 70 XX Hi silhouette and the Chuck 70 U-Throat. Each sneaker arrives in black and “Turtle Green” colorways and features a sporty mesh upper, open cotton knit and leather detailing around the laces. The rubber foxing tape around the midsole features a black and off-white print, inspired by the textile-wrapped midsole of a traditional ballet slipper. Detailing the inspiration behind this collection, JW Anderson said:

“A vintage ballerina that inspired it was actually more of a sport slipper in mesh. I liked the functionality and lightness of that shoe, and we decided to adopt some details to reinterpret the icon.”

To add a luxe, designer touch, each shoe is fitted with a JW Anderson branded sockliner and lined with premium leather, and they also arrive in special-edition JW Anderson dust bag and premium packaging.

You can get your hands on a pair from April 4 on converse.com and j-w-anderson.com. If you prefer IRL shopping, they’ll also be available at JW Anderson stores and select retailers. For more from JW Anderson, check out every item from the upcoming Uniqlo collection.

UPDATE: ”New_Classics” will restock at online and in-store at Barneys and Opening Ceremony on April 14.
