The Yohji Yamamoto x New Era Collaboration Is a Floral Masterpiece
The designer’s classic skull and rose motif makes a return.
For the Spring/Summer 2018 season, Yohji Yamamoto and New Era team up once again for a stunning collaboration. This time around, the two brands introduce a series of otherwise minimalistic pieces, save for eye-catching details in the form of an elegant skull-and-flower pattern. If the motif looks familiar, fans of the designer may recognize the theme from Yamamoto’s Fall/Winter 2014 collection.
Making a welcomed return to his designs, the collaborative range makes use of the pattern on a coach jacket (in either a black or navy iteration), the underside of the classic 59FIFTY New Era cap, as well as the interior of a sporty backpack. Other items in the program include a hoodie and tee (both in either a black or navy colorway) emblazoned across the chest with Yohji Yamamoto’s signature logo.
The Yohji Yamamoto x New Era capsule will launch in Japan and on New Era Japan’s website on April 18. Stay tuned here as we find out more regarding a wider launch.
