AMBUSH's "WAVES" Collection Takes Us on a Futuristic Vacation for SS19

AMBUSH brought vacation vibes for its latest Spring/Summer 2019 collection at Paris Fashion Week Men’s. Debuting exaggerated silhouettes, a wide range of materials as well as geometric designs, the collection was a futuristic take on “resort apparel.” Designer Yoon Ambush revealed that she got the inspiration for the range during her recent trip to Hawaii, where she observed the island’s traditions as well as surfing – resulting in the wetsuit-inspired pieces from the collection as well as the title “WAVES.” In addition, metallic-coated surfboards and big straw hats were the stand-out accessories, finishing up the vacation aesthetic. “Ultimately it’s about keeping it simple, and you know, with surfing, you can’t resist. You just have to go with what the ocean gives you,” said Yoon on the collection.
