Take a Closer Look at Louis Vuitton's Upcoming Chunky Sneakers
Debuted at the Cruise 2019 show.
It’s only been a matter of days since Louis Vuitton hosted its Cruise 2019 show at Fondation Maeght in the South of France and the eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted some intriguing new footwear on the runway.
Now we have a closer look at some of the standout shoes via Louis Vuitton’s official Instagram account, which bear a striking resemblance to the brand’s futuristic Archlight sneaker. The update sees the iconic, sculptural midsole reimagined in a metallic gold tone with a subtle LV stamp of approval toward the back of the midsole. The silhouette takes on a high-top finish, with the styles themselves including a boot-like sneaker in brown leather with hits of the classic monogrammed Louis Vuitton pattern and gold buckles to complete. There’s also a more casual version in which the leather upper take on a monochromatic black and white panels in the style of a contemporary baseball shoe and a lace-up front, with a monogrammed heel tab at the back.
