Louis Vuitton's "New Wave" Bags Are Equal Parts Luxe and Cute

Take a closer look – they release this week.

Following Virgil Abloh‘s Louis Vuitton debut the brand is releasing an ’80s-inspired “New Wave” handbag collection that mimics the rainbow show presentation. It should be noted, however, that “New Wave” isn’t designed by Virgil.

The Chain will be available in two quilted styles – a rectangular tote and saddle bag-shaped shoulder – and the colorways: “Snow,” “Smoothie Pink,” Noir,” “Ecarlate” and “Malibu Green.” On the latter the chain strap is either gold or silver and branded “VUITTON” in rainbow lettering.

“New Wave” releases on July 13 at Louis Vuitton. The collection start at $835 USD and will be priced up to $2,680 USD.

The Chain line will continue to expand in September, with new colorways that include “Freesia,” “Emerald,” “Denim,” “Yellow,” and “Noir.”
