Hana Tajima x Uniqlo Are Back With Another Versatile, Inclusive Collection
Featuring colorful, bold separates.
Designer Hana Tajima unveils a look at her sixth collaborative collection alongside Uniqlo. The British-born Muslim creator previously released a capsule with the global fashion company back in July of last year. The forthcoming Fall/Winter 2018 range features an array of outerwear like a belted long coat and even a double face jacket which comes with piping.
Hana’s line provides an array of clothing “for women of all backgrounds, regardless of age, race, culture or beliefs,” according to a press release. Due to her diverse background, she aimed to make this drop “culturally sensitive” to provide options for Muslim women. We spot colorful, playful tunics, long-sleeve shirts and scarves in the lookbook. Each piece in the collection is functional and also versatile.
In an official statement, Tajima shares how she gathered inspiration for the FW18 collection:
“For this collection, I wanted to celebrate the flows of life from dawn to dusk, light to dark, and fall to winter. That is why the pieces showcase transitions in emotions, nature, and in light. I also pursued an elegant simplicity to complement the style preferences and figures of wearers.”
Hana Tajima’s FW18 Uniqlo collection will be available online and at Uniqlo’s New York City Fifth Avenue store at 10 a.m. EST on August 16. Additional select stores will launch the collection on August 17. Check out the lookbook in the gallery above.
