Starbucks Opens a Brand-New Reserve Roastery in Milan
Marking the chain’s first location in Italy.
Following its debut in Shanghai in December last year, Starbucks is opening another Reserve Roastery – this time in Milan, Italy. Set to open on September 7, the store will be the very first Starbucks in all of Italy, with the famous chain honoring the Italian coffee culture that has inspired the company since its beginnings. The immersive coffee experience features everything from a bakery, to a fully-functioning Scolari coffee roaster. In addition, the new location will be the first Starbucks to feature an Arriviamo Bar, which will be serving more than 100 traditional and specialty cocktails.
The new store is also an architectural experience, with a wood-fronted main bar as well as designs in bronze, marble and more throughout the location. Along with the release, Starbucks is also launching a new beverage called the Cordusio. Described as “espresso-forward mocha with a light dusting of cocoa powder,” the drink is named after the Piazza Cordusio, where the new Reserve Roastery is located.
