Ace Hotel Kyoto Is Finally Accepting Reservations

Book online from April 2020 onwards.

UPDATE (January 29, 2020): After what seemed like a wait that would never end, it’s been confirmed that Ace Hotel Kyoto, a new 213 room hotel in Japan’s capital, will be opening its doors to visitors wishing to stay in the part new-build and part historic structure come April 16. You can book your stay at Ace Hotel‘s Kyoto branch online now in advance of the big opening!

The newest addition to the Ace Hotel Brand will come to represent the vision for the city’s future – creativity, culture, innovation, and respect for tradition and humanity. The hotel welcomes an audience of forward-thinking and aspiring individuals – locals and travelers alike – that are hoping to shape the future of Kyoto as well as the wider, more global creative scene.

With the opening of Ace Hotel Kyoto comes the launch of the hotel’s impressive social spaces; you can expect an animated Lobby, a gallery, event spaces, a verdant garden courtyard, cafes, and a selection of restaurants. A variety of guest rooms are also available for visitors to choose from: Standard King, Deluxe King, Double, Historic Double, Terrace Double, Garden Terrace, Tatami Suite and Ace Suite. Just take your pick!

Head to Ace Hotel Kyoto’s website now to book your stay at this beautifully designed space and hub of creativity and culture. High season rates begin at $400 USD per night.

ORIGINAL STORY (October 9, 2019): Commune Design and legendary architect Kengo Kuma have teamed up to design Ace Hotel‘s Kyoto branch which is set to open in spring, 2020. This marks the fourth collaboration between Atelier Ace and Commune Design including Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs, Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles and Ace Hotel Chicago.

Kelly Sawdon, Partner and Chief Brand Officer, Ace Hotel Group said in a press release:

“Commune has been a part of the Ace Hotel family for over 10 years, and their holistic approach to design and thorough research, admiration and support of Japanese craft and meaningful narratives felt like the perfect fit for Ace Hotel’s first Japanese outpost.”

The upcoming hotel‘s interiors draw inspiration from both the Eastern and Western culture where local artists and craftsmen have come together to help create this aesthetically pleasing space.

An exact date for the Ace Hotel Kyoto’s opening is yet to be announced, so be sure to sign up for Ace Hotel’s A-list to receive the latest updates.

In related news, the Ace Hotel Brand has opened a minimalist hotel in New York earlier this year.
