The Ace Hotel Brand Is Opening a New Minimalist Hotel in NYC
Look inside the space before it launches next month.
Even if you may not have stayed in Ace Hotel, you’re probably familiar with the trendy name if you’re someone who aspire to travel in style. With locations in Los Angeles, London and even Kyoto, Japan (slated to open in 2019), the Instagram-friendly hotel from Atelier Ace has been a millennial-favorite. This March, the team will be launching a new brand named Sister City in NYC, a property that features 200 rooms, a restaurant and a rooftop bar, according to Forbes.
Located in the Lower East Side, Sister City sees a clean, minimalist interior that’s heavily inspired by Japanese philosophy and Scandinavian architecture. Guests may choose from six room types (rates beginning at $199 USD), with each furnished with fixtures thoughtfully designed by the in-house team.
In a press release, Atelier Ace chief brand officer Kelly Sawdon shares what guests could expect to experience at Sister City:
“We wanted to create a bit of serenity in the midst of the city — a place where our guests felt truly cared for and also at the center of their own experience. We took a simple, considered approach to the design that championed compassion, functionality and human experience. We’re excited to see how it evolves as guests arrive and make it their own.”
Sister City is now open for reservations. To book a room, head over to the hotel’s website.
