Take a Look Inside Hailey Bieber’s Final Wedding Dress Fitting

“For her, I wanted something fun and youthful just the same but still traditional.”

Towards the end of September, Hailey and Justin Bieber officially tied the knot at Montage Palmetto Bluff resort in South Carolina. Days after the ceremony, the couple finally shared photos on Instagram and the Internet could not stop talking about Hailey’s stunning wedding dress designed by Off-White™‘s Virgil Abloh.

Vogue got the opportunity to film an exclusive behind-the-scenes video featuring Hailey’s final fitting with Abloh’s team. In the clip, Abloh explains how this was the first-ever wedding gown he designed for a close friend. He also adds:

“The gratifying side of designing for Hailey, in this case, is I know her personality. For her, I wanted something fun and youthful just the same but still traditional. What I think is most important for her on this day is showcasing the woman that she is. I’ve known Justin for a couple of years as well too. I wanted to make something that made him look in Hailey’s eyes and see that she’s the most beautiful woman for him. That’s a lot of what the dress’ silhouette was inspired by, bringing emotion to the moment that he sees her walk down the aisle with he veil on.”

Off-White™’s designer Sabrina Mandelli revealed that it took about a year to put this dress together along with three fittings. She also told the publication that 10 people worked on the iconic veil and another 10 on the dress itself. As seen in the video, Hailey’s gown features classical embroidery with flowers mixed with Abloh’s label’s signature symbol made out of tiny pearls.

Make sure to watch the full clip above and discover more behind the concept of this one-of-a-kind wedding dress. In case you missed it, be sure to check out the Biebers’ luxury Beverly Hills mansion.
