The Final Release of adidas' SPEEDFACTORY City Series Is Here
A tribute to the city of London.
Foot Locker and adidas have invited four creatives from London to design a sneaker that is inspired by their city, culture and people. The final design of the SPEEDFACTORY AM4 Ultraboost CP London silhouette was designed by illustrator Jasmin Sehra. When telling us about the design, Sehra said that the shoe “represents the 32 boroughs of London.” The creator also added that, “In London, you’re submerged in a melting pot of people, cultures and vibes. I wanted to reflect that mix of influences through my pattern and color. I created an abstract version of the London map, which formed the base of my camouflage design. The etched map design on the side of the shoe is made up of reflective 3M, representing London at night.”
Only 600 limited-edition pairs have been produced, and a pre-release of 30 pairs will be released exclusively at the Brixton Foot Locker store on November 26 between 4pm-6pm. Londoners will be able to purchase the product early and meet Sehra while she hands out limited, signed, numbered and framed art to the first group of buyers.
SPEEDFACTORY London is the fourth and final release of the 2019 city series and will be released on November 27 at select Foot Locker stores as well as online.
