Apple's New Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11 Features a Built-In Camera Button
Available in the colorways “Black,” “White” and “Pink Sand.”
Apple has released new Smart Battery Cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. According to 9to5Mac, the new tech accessory features a built-in camera button towards the bottom of the case on the same side as the power button that automatically launches the camera app.
To operate the case’s new function, simply press the button once to capture a photo or hold it down to take a video. In terms of its design, the new accessory arrives in a soft-touch silicone material similar to the past models. It also includes a microfiber lining on the inside to help protect your iPhone.
The tech giant also claims that the Smart Battery Case will increase your iPhone’s battery life by 50 percent when fully charged. The case is compatible with Qi wireless chargers allowing you to charge the case and your phone at the same time. If you don’t own a wireless charger, you may also use the standard wired charger and USB-PD charger.
Apple’s Smart Battery Cases retail for $129 USD for all the iPhone 11 versions available in “Black,” “White” and “Pink Sand.” In case you missed it, the tech company will reportedly replace iPhones with smart glasses “in roughly a decade.”
