A Closer Look at Aimé Leon Dore & New Balance's Collaboration of Fleece and Knits

Featuring the latest New Balance 990v2 and 990v5 silhouettes.

UPDATE (November 14, 2019): Aimé Leon Dore has shared a closer look at the fleece and knitwear featured in its Fall/Winter 2019 collaboration with New Balance. Co-branded fleece jackets and matching sweatpants come in green and navy colorways. Striped knit sweaters in white and purple-blue are winter must-haves, and streetwear staples include grey, yellow and white hoodies, sweatpants and crewnecks. “Life In The Balance” is printed on long-sleeve T-shirts along with a whimsical graphic of a Mary Poppins-like character modeling the collaboration’s sneakers. Monochrome caps, striped socks and fleece scarves complete the range.

ORIGINAL STORY (November 11, 2019): Aimé Leon Dore has finally unveiled its Fall/Winter 2019 collection in collaboration with New Balance. The New York-based brand and the sportswear label’s latest campaign features two brand new silhouettes – the 990v2 and 990v5 – along with co-branded apparel pieces ranging from hoodies, jackets and fall accessories.

Dubbed the “Life In The Balance” range, key pieces in the collection include cozy fleece pullovers with matching pants, beanies and multifaceted scarves featuring special zip pockets. In addition to the apparel, a dark blue fleece zip-up jacket and a rugby-style fleece overshirt with a snap closure collar will be available for purchase.

As for the collaborative sneakers, the 990v5 has been incorporated with rich green and navy blue tones, while the 990v2 showcases a colorful combination of yellow and grey shades against its neutral off-white hues. The shoes also feature tiny Aimé Leon Dore-branded tags below the ankle.

Take a closer look at the campaign images in the gallery above and a detailed look at the sneakers below. Stay tuned while we wait for Aimé Leon Dore to announce the official release date this week.
