
Kanye West Reveals the YEEZY Foam Runner Will Be Made From Algae
Also known as the “Clog.”
After a first look spotted on his daughter North West this summer along with another sneak peek in September, Kanye West has finally unveiled more details on the YEEZY Foam Runner, otherwise known as the “Clog.” At the Fast Company Innovation Festival, the creative sat alongside designer Steven Smith to speak about the shoe as well as future plans on becoming more sustainable.
According to West, the upcoming silhouette, which seems to sport one-piece construction, is crafted with environmentally cautious materials such as algae. As seen earlier, the shoe is a design focused on breathability, while design elements are signature to the artist’s style seen on other silhouettes like the adidas YEEZY BOOST 700. ‘Ye then further elaborated on sustainability plans, announcing that YEEZY’s production will be moving to a 4,000-acre space in Wyoming with its own hydroponic farm.
