Take a Look Inside Sandqvist's New Minimal Parisian Flagship Store

Bringing the Scandinavian touch to Paris.

Heritage Swedish bag brand Sandqvist is well-known for its style-led approach to functional accessories, so what better place to open its newest flagship store than the eternally chic city of Paris. Following the success of its physical locations in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Berlin and London, Paris‘ hip Marais district is the brand’s newest home.

The interior of the space itself is true to Sandqvist’s focus on minimal Scandinavian design. Working alongside renowned architecture firm Wingårdhs, they’ve created a naturally bright and airy space, accented with clean line lighting and a stunning, oversized textured mirror. Sandqvist’s focus on sustainable design shines through in the exposed brick, concrete and stone details as well as the wooden plinths and panels that draw you back to nature and act as the perfect accompaniment to the brand’s practical pieces. Discussing the design of the new store, brand director Sebastian Westin shared:

“Our first step when it comes to design is to always explore the root of sustainable possibilities. It’s at the heart of all we do and is the compass we follow when it comes to our products, our processes and ultimately the design of our stores. We want the look of our stores to feel natural, organic and non-invasive – and this will carry through to our new Paris location. We want to add value to the natural look and feel of the area while using our sustainable core to create a truly unique experience.”
