UZ's New Lip Treatment Teaches Skin to Moisturize Itself
Using a shimmery prebiotic formula.
Cult beauty brand UZ has released its groundbreaking 38℃/99℉ Lip Treatment in the United States, coinciding with the re-design of its New York flagship. The formula (which is Japan‘s #1 lip treatment) uses Multi Flora, a prebiotic that bonds to the skin‘s microbes and amplifies their power to generate glycerin and fatty acids, to help lips moisturize themselves.
The treatment comes in five shades ranging on a scale from -4 to +5 indicating how much cooler or warmer it makes the lips appear. For example, “+5 Orange” counteracts sallowness while “±0 Clear” adds a glossy shine to the wearer’s natural lip tone and “-4 Black” minimizes warmth and deepens lip color. The product can be layered over lipstick to create entirely new shades, and UZ recommends applying 38℃/99℉ before bed as an overnight mask — in the morning, you’ll wake up to radically softer lips that will feel the treatment’s effects throughout the day.
UZ’s 38℃/99℉ Lip Treatment retails for $20 USD is available online and at the brand’s Soho store.
