Virgil Abloh & Evian Release Newly Designed Sustainable Water Bottle Capsule
Including a 75cl reusable option.
Following up on the reveal of a collaborative, reusable water bottle, Virgil Abloh and Evian return with more products. As the brand’s newly appointed “Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation Design,” Abloh created a new 75cl limited-edition glass bottle and a lineup of Soma shatter-resistant bottles.
As a continuation of Evian’s long-established collaboration with the fashion world, the partnership sheds light on how sustainability can also be stylish. Each design is directly inspired by nature’s phenomenon, the rainbow. Detailing on the 75cl bottle features rain drop-shaped dots in shades of green and blue. The Soma bottles which come in numerous colorways include “RAINBOW INSIDE” on the outside in numerous hues handpicked by Abloh. Additionally, these products come with an easy grip silicone sleeve and leak-proof bamboo cap.
In an official statement, Abloh shared his thoughts on the collaboration:
“The notion that one drop can make a rainbow served as the inspiration and metaphor to drive my first project as evian’s Creative Advisor for Sustainable Innovation design. As light refracts through that droplet, it reveals its full polychromatic potential. We don’t see just water, we see infinite possibilities and inspiration.”
The “One Drop can Make a Rainbow” collection is available now, with the Soma bottles exclusive to MATCHESFASHION’s web store and the 75cl bottle available at select retailers featured on the Evian web store.
