A New Hello Kitty Exhibition Features Work by Over 100 Artists
In celebration of the Sanrio character’s 45th anniversary.
A major Hello Kitty-themed art exhibition is slated to kick off later this month in Downtown Los Angeles‘ Corey Helford Gallery. Featuring work created by over 100 different artists from across the globe, the group show hosted in partnership with Sanrio will pay tribute to the beloved feline, who is celebrating its 45th birthday this year.
Exploring the influence of Hello Kitty in global pop culture, the upcoming exhibit is curated with a wide variety of artwork — including paintings, sculptures and animations — that reinterprets the iconic image of Hello Kitty and her adorable friends. Featured artists include Japanese artist Mayuka Yamamoto, LA-based Andrew Brandou, famous Spanish painter Okuda San Miguel and many more. Take a look at the complete list of participating artists in the event flyer below.
