The Vans Era Gets Dressed up in Velvet and Gold Sneaker Jewelry
The skate shoe gets a stylish new look with a nameplate-inspired detail.
Vans has given its classic Era silhouette a new look this season, dressing up the cult-loved skate shoe in crushed velvet and decorative sneaker jewelry.
As part of the Vans ID pack, the low-top sneaker gets updated with luxe velvet uppers coming in two versatile colorways, including a scarlet red hue “Chili Pepper” and black. Both pairs are constructed with black sole units as well as color-matching lining.
What makes these footwear designs extra special, however, are the golden charms attached to the black cotton laces on the front. Drawing inspiration from nameplate necklaces, the gold charms feature a spelled-out Vans logo in a gothic typeface, with each of the letters placed right next to an eyelet on the sneaker.

Earlier this month, Vans has launched a highly anticipated collaboration with Harry Potter. Appealing to fans of the beloved book and movie series, the partnered range features a lineup of sneakers created with motifs referencing each Hogwarts house.
