Converse Launches a Sun-Activated "UV Chuck 70" Collection
Take a first look at the color-shifting designs.
Converse officially debuts its latest footwear collection made up of UV-activated sneakers. This time around, the global sneaker titan links up with Chinatown Market on the release dubbed the “UV Chuck 70” collection.
The designs, a Converse Chuck 70 Hi and Chuck 70 Ox begin entirely as off-white canvas. But when exposed to direct sunlight, the shoes transition into a vibrant mismatched color-blocked design. Detailing on both pairs includes classic accents such as a white rubber sole unit, white lacing and tonal stitching throughout. Hues placed throughout both pairs once the sun hits include orange, purple, blue and magenta. Lastly, the sole features a color-blocked pattern appearing in orange, magenta and blue.
