The Best Celebrity Looks From 'The Lion King' Premiere, Including Beyoncé and Donald Glover

On July 9, Disney‘s highly-anticipated The Lion King premiered in Los Angeles with a guest list reflecting its all-star cast and the red carpet was a show in-of-itself.
The Lion King remake represents another long roster of Disney creating inclusive and high-production films that shatter old ideas of racial casting. With talent like Beyoncé lending her legendary voice to the film, this film will without a doubt be historically monumental. The storyline will follow the original, but with updated songs like “Spirit” by Queen Bey.
On the red carpet, we saw Beyoncé dressed in a crystalized bespoke Alexander McQueen gown, with matching jewelry, shoes and even an encrusted clutch. Side-by-side, red carpet queen in the making Blue Ivy wore a matching black tuxedo and skirt. Donald Glover showed up wearing a Gucci cream plaid suit that was casually cut. Yara Shahidi also wore Gucci, in a double-breasted jacket and candy-colored pumps. And of course, Patrick Starrr showed up in full diva-realness along with a larger-than-life signature headpiece.
