Nike's Latest Air Max 270 React Sneaker Is Equal Parts Retro and Clean
Find out when it drops.
Earlier this month, Nike’s Air Max 270 React sneaker dropped in vibrant “Electro Green/Flash Crimson-Blue Lagoon” and “Hyper Jade” colorways, but if bright colors aren’t for you, the Swoosh brand just dropped a more minimalist iteration. Coming in “Summit White,” the latest release is simple, yet features special details that separate it from other plain white sneakers.
At first glance, it looks like the Nike shoe’s upper is mostly cream white, but upon a closer look, you can see that the Swoosh, heel wrap and mudguard are comprised of a darker shade of white with cool undertones. This detailing gives the shoe more depth and a slightly worn-in, vintage feel. To add to the neutral palette, pastel pink accents cover the outsoles and lace eyelets. The entire shoe sits on top of a colorless Air Max unit at the heel. For a boost of color, the sneaker is finished off with a barely-there “Ghost Aqua” blue sole. Air Max 270 React and Swoosh branding are embroidered on the tongue in matching pink and blue tones.
Nike’s Air Max 270 React sneaker drops on Friday, August 2 on Nike’s online store and retailers such as Livestock for $150 USD. While you’re here, get a first look at the all-white sacai x Nike Blazer Mid.
