Following the release of Toy Story 4, Pixar has partnered with Champion, BEAMS and Japanese artist Yu Nagaba for a Toy Story collection to celebrate “The Science Behind Pixar” exhibition. The lineup arrives with a total of six styles – three reverse weave sweatshirts by Champion and three T-shirts by BEAMS.
Champion’s grey, black and white sweatshirts feature the words “WOODY” and “BUZZ” in a collegiate font with colors representing each of the characters – yellow and red for Woody, and bright green and purple for Buzz. The black sweatshirt, sporting the “PIXAR” logo, is only available at the BEAMS Roppongi Hills store. All three of the pieces feature Champion’s signature “C” emblem on the left sleeve along with the characters’ tokens on the right. Meanwhile, BEAMS tapped Nagaba for three T-shirts in orange, black and white with the artist’s unique illustrations of Woody and Buzz. The black T-shirt, in addition to the black sweatshirt, is exclusively available at the BEAMS Roppongi Hills store.
With a release date of September 2019, the Yu Nagaba x BEAMS x Champion Toy Story collection is currently available for pre-order. The reverse weave sweatshirts will retail at ¥12,800 JPY (approximately $120 USD) and T-shirts at ¥4,500 JPY (approximately $40 USD).
