A Dover Street Parfums Market Beauty Concept Store Is Opening in Paris
Calling all makeup and skincare lovers.
Earlier this year, Dover Street Market revealed that it was expanding into the beauty space by building a concept store in Paris designed by COMME des GARÇONS‘ founder Rei Kawakubo. Now, the multi-brand retailer has announced official details for the beauty store opening.
A Dover Street Parfums Market Instagram account has popped up for the satellite store featuring an array of makeup and perfume photos. So far, it seems like DSPM has confirmed that it will be stocking London-based skincare brand Votary, Gucci Beauty, makeup brand Edward Bess, Melanie Simon Skincare and C.O. Bigelow. The account also features photos of hydrangeas and a willow tree in Berlin. One picture of flowers is captioned “for Sarah with love from Lucien,” referring to Sarah Andelman from colette and fashion PR agency founder Lucien Pagès.
The inspiration of the store is based on three pillars — texture, feeling and sound. Under texture, an image of orange peel drywall plaster is featured. For feeling, a photograph of a woman wearing classic Parisian red lips announces the involvement of makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, who is the brand’s beauty engineer. Sound will be designed by Dover Street Market’s sound artist Calx Vive, and the Instagram account features a poem by him that you can take a look at below.
Dover Street Parfums Market will open on October 2. Stay tuned for more updates about the space. If you’re looking for more beauty brands to discover, check out our list of five new K-beauty brands to shop when traveling in Korea.
