Gorillaz Shares Mysterious 23-Second Track, "Song Machine Theme Tune"

Perhaps indicating an upcoming project.

In typical unorthodox fashion, Gorillaz has released a new, 23-second-long track titled “Song Machine Theme Tune.” The virtual band posted the short audio clip and accompanying animation to YouTube and Instagram, hinting that the release is a preliminary teaser to an upcoming project called “Song Machine.”

“Follow your nearest Song Machine (snooze you lose),” the band’s ambiguous Instagram caption reads. The new release follows frontman Damon Albarn’s 2018 statement that the band will wait 10 years before unveiling their next album.

Stay tuned as Gorillaz reveals more details.
