Jessie Reyez Previews Debut Album 'Before Love Came To Kill Us' With New Music Video and Single

Singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, whose EP Being Human In Public is Grammy-nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album, has announced her debut full-length release, Before Love Came To Kill Us. Reyez has also dropped a music video for new single “Love In The Dark,” giving fans a sneak peek at her latest project.
“I wrote this during a really sad time in my life, I remember crying. I hope people understand how vulnerable it is,” Reyez said about the inspiration behind her new visual. The personal song recounts the challenges of supporting loved ones as they overcome life’s obstacles. Directed by Se Oh, the moody video intersperses clips of Reyez, dressed in an ethereal gown, floating underwater with images of a starry galaxy.
Before Love Came To Kill Us is slated to release on March 27, and is available for pre-order through Reyez’s website. Check out her music video for “Love In The Dark” above and stream the single below.
