Lizzo Is Taking a Break From Twitter Because of "Too Many Trolls"

“I’ll be back when I feel like it.”

Earlier this week, Lizzo took to Twitter to announce that she will be taking a break from the social media platform indefinitely. The “Truth Hurts” singer wrote to her followers saying: “Yeah I can’t do this Twitter sh*t no more… too many trolls… I’ll be back when I feel like it.”

Fans of the singer replied with nothing but love and support, and have let her know they would be there for her waiting for her to return. The current devastating situation in Australia may have had something to do with Lizzo’s hiatus as she was trying to raise awareness over the weekend. On January 4, she tweeted: “Polarity will always exist. Good will always be versus Evil. One opinion will always oppose the other. Your opinion does not make you a bad person. It’s your actions that matter. Do better isn’t an insult, it’s a plea. We need betterment more than anything.”

Lizzo will still be active on Instagram thanks to the platform’s new privacy settings allowing users to turn off comments, filter out negativity and restrict other accounts. There is currently no definite date as to when she will be returning to Twitter, so stay tuned while we wait for more updates on the situation.
