Aesop Introduces Set of Three New Aromatique Candles

The home scents are created in collaboration with perfumer Barnabé Fillion.

Following up on its fourth fragrance “Rōzu Eau de Parfum” released earlier this year, Aesop has now debuted its latest home scents in the form of candles. Available in three options, the new collection takes inspiration from starlit skies.

Created in partnership with perfumer Barnabé Fillion, the Aromatique Candles are all about leaving lingering fragrances to any space. Arriving in the “Aganice,” “Callippus” and “Ptolemy” scents, the trio is built off the concept of candlelights being like stars, as illustrated in the accompanying campaign.

“Aganice” is named after the first female astronomer of Ancient Greece and boasts a floral, spicy and fresh base crafted with cardamom, clove and mimosa, along with a hint of tobacco. “Callippus” pays homage to a Greek astronomer and mathematician through an earthy blend of frankincense, guaiac wood and shiso. Lastly, “Ptolemy” is named after a Greek-Egyptian scientist whose work focused on medieval astronomy. The candle features a woody fragrance of cedar, cypress and vetiver, finished off with a light smoky smell.
