AMBUSH Delivers Minimal, Timeless Silhouettes for SS21
Capturing the appeal of simplicity with an element of surprise.
Following the launch of its denim collection last month, AMBUSH is back with a brand new range for Spring/Summer 2021. With the creative vision of co-founders Yoon Ahn and Verbal, the Japanese label’s latest offerings for men and women arrive in minimal yet timeless styles.
Inspired by the laid back lifestyle, garments in the line capture the appeal of simplicity but boast elements of surprise throughout, including fringe details, color-blocked prints and more. Outerwear essentials like coats and jackets are merged with natural materials such as leather and linen to “create a balance of intrigue and wearability without feeling either underdressed or overdone,” according to a press release. Instead of its usual contemporary streetwear route, the brand decided to follow a sophisticated aesthetic this season by demonstrating clean cuts and incorporating a more neutral color palette. Known for her intricate and bold designs, Ahn’s jewelry pieces are accented with hand-cut natural stones and come in sculptural forms and classic cuts.
