Lily Allen Talks Masturbation and Sex Positivity in New Womanizer Campaign
Releasing a limited-edition toy dubbed Liberty.
Aiming to normalize conversations on topics like sex positivity, female orgasms and masturbation, German sex toy label Womanizer has now tapped Lily Allen for a new campaign. In the latest visuals, the “Smile” singer talks everything from her own experiences with sexual pleasure, to her collaborative product dubbed Liberty.
“So… I’ve got a little secret. I masturbate. But why is saying it out loud so weird?” the musician asks. Joining Womanizer as a Chief Liberation Officer, Allen is spearheading the company’s new #IMasturbate campaign, which raises awareness of female masturbation.
As discovered through a survey by Womanizer, the international masturbation gap remains at 68 percent, with men leading on an average of 156 times a year and women around 50. “I didn’t really masturbate at all until my late 20s. I found it difficult to get to a place of pleasure until I found toys,” the star shares in an interview with the brand.
Furthering the initiative, the duo has created a limited-edition toy called Liberty, ideal for exploring and challenging myths behind masturbation. Arriving in a vibrant pink and orange color palette, the compact gadget provides six intensity levels that can be activated with two simple buttons. The water-resistant toy is complete with a magnetic cap.
