Givenchy Launches "Teaser" Capsule From Matthew M. Williams' Debut SS21 Collection

Slated to officially drop worldwide on February 26, 2021.

Matthew M. Williams unveiled his debut collection for Givenchy back in October after being appointed as the fashion house’s Creative Director seven months ago. Following his Spring/Summer 2021 range, the label has launched an edited selection from the line featuring playful yet elegant silhouettes for both women and men.

In the lookbook above, models are seen in long, fitted blazers paired with slim, high-rise pants. Denim styles are embellished with intricate elements that give the pieces unique crackled or lustrous finishes. Statement outerwear includes a crocodile-printed three-quarter length coat, as well as voluminous urban windbreakers.

Key designs for men are the classic-fit trousers, the single-breasted jacket embroidered with the 4G emblem on the lining, and boxy tees with zip and snap closures. Additional items like the parka, hoodies and sweatshirts round out the men’s offerings.

Elsewhere, Williams has produced a series of T-shirts that boast tech-forward prints. Each garment features 3D chain-embossed details at the neck, or trompe l’oeil renderings of locks and eyelets over “GIVENCHY” lettering.

As for accessories, the collection consists of a new iteration of the Antigona, two cross-body bags, the unisex Vertical mini with a chain and the men’s Antigona U. In footwear, styles include the Lock ankle boot, the women’s Marshmallow wedge slide, as well as the men’s flat sandal and GIV 1 high-performance sneaker. Rounding out the capsule is the statement flat cap with horns and the G-chain buckle black leather belt.

You can now check out the “Teaser” SS21 collection exclusively at seven of Givenchy’s stores in Europe, Asia and the U.S., as well as on Givenchy’s website in select countries until December 22. The first official drop of the capsule will release on February 26, 2021 across Givenchy’s worldwide retail network.
