JW Anderson Pays Homage to Oscar Wilde in Unisex Collection
Inspired by the late poet’s message: “The secret of life is in art.”
Jonathan Anderson, Founder and Creative Director of JW Anderson, has always idolized the work of Oscar Wilde. In honor of the late poet’s literary work and his unconventional way of life, Anderson has unveiled a unisex collection dedicated solely to Wilde.
Adhering to the Irish poet and playwright’s vision of aestheticism, “beautiful things can sometimes just be beautiful,” the Irish designer wanted to create pieces that promoted Wilde’s message. The capsule features four ready-to-wear styles all embellished with the phrase, “The secret of life is in art,” which Anderson discovered on a piece of paper he acquired at an auction. Additionally, the range includes a selection of accessories such as necklaces, earrings, bags and a hat.
