Sustainable Menstrual Care Brand Saalt Drops Leakproof Period Underwear Range
Featuring five inclusive silhouettes available in a range of sizes.
Known for its colorful menstrual cups, period care brand Saalt has released a range of leakproof underwear under its new line, Saalt Wear. With the aim to completely eliminate the need for disposable products, the garments can absorb up to three regular tampons worth of period flow. Saalt CEO and Co-Founder Cherie Hoeger said in a press release:
“Saalt Wear has been the focus of constant innovation since our launch, and actually took us three and a half years to perfect. It’s been exciting to see how far the world has come in terms of destigmatizing periods and making it less of a taboo topic. More people are now recognizing the environmental benefits of switching to menstrual cups, and we hope to help eliminate further period waste by introducing our new line of period underwear.”
To ensure the safety of its customers and the effectiveness of its products, Saalt Wear’s underwear collection is free from PFAS and other toxic chemicals. Available in five different silhouettes – Elemental Lace Hipster, Elemental Mesh Hipster, Elemental Thong, Elemental Bikini and Elemental High Waist – the styles feature moisture-wicking, antimicrobial layers and a leakproof barrier. Thanks to its moisture-separating gusset technology, Saalt Wear quickly absorbs the wetness to keep you feeling drier throughout the day.
Starting at $29 USD, you can now purchase the Saalt Wear collection via Saalt’s website available up to size XXL. With every purchase made, the company will donate a portion of its proceeds to those in need of period care products.
In case you missed it, Scotland has become the first country to mandate free access to pads and tampons.
