Suit Up in Louis Vuitton's "Game On" Heart Collection
Nicolas Ghesquière updates the LV monogram with graphics inspired by a deck of cards.
Nicolas Ghesquière puts a playful twist on Louis Vuitton‘s classic monogram for the house’s Cruise 2021 collection, modeled by Léa Seydoux in a newly unveiled campaign. Dubbed “Game On,” the range is inspired by the four suits of a card deck. Spades, clubs, diamonds and hearts, in particular, are reinterpreted as bags, clothing and shoes for the label’s inter-season offering.
A heart-shaped crossbody is rendered in Louis Vuitton’s signature brown monogram while the Speedy and Dauphine bags are updated in a colorful take on the logo print, incorporating small red hearts into the mix. A new iteration of the Archlight sneaker features a white leather upper splashed with hearts at the lateral, and graphic T-shirts are emblazoned with colorful Louis Vuitton “cards.” Additional apparel options — including geometric skirts and dresses — are constructed with seaming and cut-outs imitating the contours of diamonds and spades.
