






Swiss Performance Running Brand, On, Opens New Flagship in NYC

Switzerland‘s performance footwear label On is expanding stateside with a new flagship store in New York City. Situated in the NoHo neighborhood, the location is designed with technology and consumer experience in mind.
“With design and technology at the forefront, On NYC will empower shoppers to engage with our products in an entirely new way,” the label’s co-founder David Allemann shares in a press release. The store opening comes after this year’s boom in running: “This year more than ever, people have found solace and joy in running. That’s why, in many ways, there has never been a better time for us to open our first global flagship store in a city that we’re confident will remain the shopping capital of the world.”
Taking center stage inside the space is the “Magic Wall,” which allows customers to analyze their running styles to find the ultimate performance shoe. Shoppers are invited to run a few strides in the store to get matched with the ideal On sneaker, with the help of a custom-built invisible foot scanner. An array of the brand’s kicks are displayed on the back of the “Magic Wall” for customers to choose from. The flagship additionally provides apparel selections with Swiss Alps-themed changing rooms.
