Pharrell Williams' Billionaire Boys Club Combines Military & Workwear Styles for SS20
Utilitarian pieces to add to your wardrobe.
While we’re seeing Spring/Summer 2020 collections roll out from brands like Stussy, Pharrell Williams‘ streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club has introduced its latest offering inspired by classic military and workwear styles. Captured in the jungles and hidden Japanese temples of Hawaii, the lookbook delivers statement lessons through its key design elements.
Pieces like the brand’s signature Souvenir Jacket are highlighted with messages of positivity such as “SEEK INNER PEACE” and “WEALTH IS OF THE HEART AND MIND, NOT THE POCKET,” while utilitarian styles are accompanied by details like floral embroidery. The C-1 Survival Vest and Tropical Field Jacket are added to the mix to emphasize the inspiration behind the collection. Additional key garments include a matching two-piece set featuring embroidered BBC branding all over, as well as a mint-colored hoodie and shorts ensemble.
“The delivery is a combination of loosely Western-inspired patterns mixed with camo to make a unique BBC pattern,” the label’s designer Joseph Au commented in an official press release, further adding that this “offers a layered color palette, creating a unique range of looks within the collection.”
