Stussy Captures Californian Knights in a Joust Duel for Its Spring 2020 Campaign
The West Coast brand goes full-on Elizabethan.
Although many of us are still in the thick of sweater weather, surfwear brand Stussy prepares for warmer days ahead with its latest Spring 2020 campaign. Lensed by photographer Colin Dodgson, a surreal equestrian duel is captured on the sun-drenched shores of California’s famous beaches. Although the modern-day knights are dressed from head-to-toe in historical armor, the label’s newest pieces can be seen peeping ever so slightly through the breastplate and chainmail.
To complement the theme, a female model in a regal Elizabethan gown is seen holding a surfboard, while simultaneously modelling Stussy’s latest eyewear offering. Described as a “sand-in-the-toes fever dream” by the brand itself, the forthcoming collection signals a reinvigorating change for 2020, mirroring the sentiment that anything can happen in the new decade.
Stussy’s Spring 2020 collection is available globally on Friday, February 7 at 10 a.m. PST.
