Jennifer Lopez and Shakira Light Up the Stage at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show
Watch the two Latina divas’ explosive performance here.
This year’s headliners for the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show were Latina icons Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. The two superstars performed side-by-side for the first time on stage shortly after the 49ers and Chiefs ended the first half of the game.
As a tribute to the late NBA basketball star Kobe Bryant, JLo and Shakira’s performance also celebrated Latin pride and cultural diversity. Both artists were able to fit in all their greatest hits in the allotted 12 minute time slot including Lopez’s “Jenny From the Block,” as well as Shakira’s “Whenever, Wherever” and “Hips Don’t Lie.”
The explosive final segment ended with a bang when Lopez walked on stage wrapped in a feathered American flag cape that transitioned to a Puerto Rican flag. The two divas sang a medley of “Let’s Get Loud” and “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” while showing off their signature dance moves.
