The North Face Urban Exploration Taps Kazuki Kuraishi for a Second Capsule Collection
Featuring the Japanese designer’s first-ever womenswear items.
As we step into February, fashion brands are introducing new styles and items for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2020 season — this time around, The North Face Urban Exploration has teamed up once again with Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi for a two-part capsule. The first installment, dubbed “Pink,” will be followed by “Lemon” dropping at a later date.
The 14-piece lineup features outerwear options along with T-shirts, crew tops, pants and a backpack, including the Japanese designer’s first-ever womenswear creations. Utilizing Futurelight™ technology, items are made to be breathable and waterproof, while functionality is added with design details like a removable rain hood, transforming a fleece jacket into a long coat. Highlight pieces include reimagined styles of The North Face‘s iconic Denali and Mountain Light jackets, recreated with added pops of color like vibrant pink to channel a ’90s mood. These lightweight items can be layered to create a more versatile look.
