While Storm Dennis might have brought gusty winds and showers heavier than usual to the typically rainy British capital, the weather didn’t seem stop street style stars and celebrities from dressing impressively well and chic for London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020.
To combat the apocalyptic storm, trench coats were naturally one of the most popular fashion items spotted on the streets. Outside the venue of the star-studded Burberry runway show, supermodel Naomi Campbell was seen in a clear, PVC iteration of the classic wardrobe staple, layered on top of a simple, all-black ensemble. In true Riccardo Tisci fashion, the statement-making piece is designed with hints of animal prints of snakeskin, zebra stripes and cowhide, found along the edges of the garment and around its buttons.
Mini designer handbags, like Dior‘s newly-released micro-sized monogram Book Tote and Bottega Veneta‘s Mini BV Jodie (its hot pink version worn by Copenhagen street style royalty, Thora Valdimars), unsurprisingly dominated London street style this season. Many show attendees also geared up for the powerful wind and rain in faux fur coats, waterproof boots, sensible bucket hats and silk scarves tied around the head.
Flick through the gallery above for ideas on how to wear some of this season’s biggest street style trends, and to catch glimpses of front row celebrities and models like Winnie Harlow, Kaia Gerber, Alexa Chung and the newly-engaged Jourdan Dunn.
