MM6 Maison Margiela Debuts The North Face Collaboration at LFW
Featuring statement outerwear, tabi gloves and more.
Following a teaser posted on Instagram, MM6 Maison Margiela took to London Fashion Week to reveal its upcoming collaboration with outerwear label The North Face. Presenting a collection stacked with bold pieces capturing the ethos of MM6 as well as the performance wear aesthetic of TNF, the collaboration was showcased in a parking space under London’s 180 Strand location.
The presentation took the audience into three different rooms, divided into catwalk, presentation and backstage. The first room featured projector screens as well as a dark room where models paraded down the runway, showcasing the Fall/Winter 2020 collection, whereas the second room featured the models standing still showing the looks in a presentation setting. The range boasts an impressive selection of elevated outerwear, experimenting with silhouette and shape in true MM6 fashion. Of course, bold colors and prints were spotted throughout, as well as statement accessories such as the split-finger tabi gloves. The last room of the experience showed the audience a backstage look at the process of the show, featuring models getting makeup touch-ups and lint rolled before stepping out on the runway.
